Evaluation of Wine Grape Maturity
Wine Grape Sample Preparation
Accurate assessments of grape ripeness also depend on proper sample preparation. Grape samples should be processed quickly, preferably within a few hours of collection, and processing procedures should simulate winery conditions as closely as possible. The clusters or berry samples can either be crushed and pressed by hand or in the case of large samples crushed with a small roller-crusher and pressed with a small bench-top press.
